Eminem Interview With Howard Stern (1999)

I was channel surfing earlier and came across the “Eminem Takeover” on FUSE. Then, I got on my computer and saw this video, which has somehow gone relatively unnoticed for the past two years it’s been on Yahoo. It’s crazy what gets lost in cyberspace…
Anyway, here’s Eminem on The Howard Stern Show eleven years ago, shortly after he released the Slim Shady LP. In fact, at the time of this interview he hadn’t even received his first royalty check from the album, which sold 283,000 copies in its first week.
Shouts to NahRight on this one.

Video: Kanye West- “Coldest Winter”

This is the official video for Coldest Winter, off of Kanye’s 2008 album, 808s and Heartbreak. I’m kind of undecided about whether I like this video or not, and that’s why I’m posting it. On one hand, the visuals are amazing (it was directed by Nabil Elderkin, who also did the videos for Kanye’s ”Welcome to Heartbreak” and “Paranoid”). On the other hand, the video is just flat out strange and, in most cases, I like it much better when artists actually appear in their own videos.

Snoop Dogg feat. KiD CuDi- “That Tree” (prod. by Diplo)

I’ve been curious as to what the Cudi/Snoop collab would sound like. I like this. I wasn’t so sure about it when the beat first came on (Diplo went crazy with it), but it switches up great and Cudi makes it with the chorus.

via Complex: ““That Tree” appears on Snoop’s new album More Malice, a deluxe re-release of his Malice N Wonderland LP that features 5 songs from the original, 5 brand new songs, and 2 remixes. More Malice hits stores on March 23 and will also include a special never-before-seen mini-movie called Malice N Wonderland, starring Snoop as a super hero named Malice.

J.Cole- “Knock On Wood (Freestyle)”

J.Cole always comes out strong on tracks and he seems to only getting better with each release. His mixtape The Warm Up was one of my favorite projects of 2009…can’t wait to see what he has in store for this year. The Fayetteville, NC native goes in over the beat for Common’s “GO” on this one.

Video: The Morning Benders- “Excuses”

Berkley, CA indie band The Morning Benders teamed up with the Echo Chamber Orchestra for the opening track on their upcoming LP, Big EchoThe name of the song is Excuses,” and this video for it by Yours Truly shows the amazing recording process that went into it’s making. This is so ill to me; truly inspiring. I love violins.
