The Welsh and Scottish pair team up for Gray`s new single. It quite a delicious combination. The style is the first thing that caught my eye. They say don`t judge a book by it`s cover, but I do it all the time, and usually it works out for me. In the most literal sense of the quote, I recently picked up Anne Fadiman`s compilation of short essays about books Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader.
I confess I`ve never been much of a reader. In fact, I vividly remember being young and gravitating to the books with the most pictures and the least words. Reading was too much work, and up until this last year that state of mind has dictated my life. I guess that`s why I found Fadiman`s book so interesting. It was a book about books. It was the first book about books I`ve read, and I`m glad that something about the cover led me to pick it up. Ex Libris has inspired a new thirst for reading. They say a book can change your life, which is why people both admire and fear them. I like to think that this is true - change for the better.
When making your first suit purchase you have two color option: charcoal or navy. Black contrary to popular belief is not an option - not for a first purchase. The navy suit is a staple in a man`s closet. It is the choice of politicians (usually paired with solid red tie) , and well-dressed business men across the world. I also give it points for versatility, as you can dress the blazer down with a pair of immaculate dark denim or chinos. Yes, that`s three options at your disposal - three different looks for three different occasions. I`ll leave my thoughts of the Charcoal suit for a latter time.
