I put this on thinking I’d be sick of the record, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed the song and performance. I got to thinking why don’t I play this more often? Then it hit me. The lights, the vibe, I was quickly transported to Jay-Z’s Vancouver concert, which in most cases would have just added some sweet nostalgia to the music. Instead, it reminded me of her. She’s the last girl I actually would have wanted to “work out”. I guess by avoiding this song I was in my own way avoiding her. I hate that I can’t listen to certain songs anymore. See it’s not just this one there’s a list - maybe I’ll start sharing them with you. Maybe.
