Miles Fisher, an actor from and music artist Los Angeles, released his self titled debut early summer 2009. He’s a charming and well-dressed individual, and at the same time a satirical genius. His youtube videos remind me of something I’d see on Saturday Night Live. A lot of people seem to think that in order to fight the “man” or “system” that it means they have to turn there backs on sartorial traditions. Many professors, for instance, wear their suits with brown shoes, and bottom-down-oxfords (otherwise known as Brooks Brothers collars) as a sign of rebellion, a mark of the proletarian against the tyrannical bourgeoisie. The same people, however, fail to realize that letting ones personal style suffer because of their “principles” is childlike and counter productive. See we live in a world where “upper-class” society run our lives (for more info google Bilderberg), and when people dress against their codes they stand out like black sheep. Of course, one could argue that left, perhaps, needs a unified and bold statement a middle finger to the oppressors per se. Still, in the same fashion that grown-ups won’t take a young man with his pants hanging off his ass seriously, the elite in society look down upon the poorly dressed men/women of “principles” long before they let their ideas breathe. Which is why I find Miles Fisher to be an interesting person, he bridges the gap fluidly. He looks like he belongs in the study halls of Yale, while naturally making a mockery out of Christian Bale’s role in Psycho. And for those of you pondering over what my point was. It’s this: Don’t let your message burden the way you dress or carry yourself. After all, even the Al Queda hi-jackers of the tragic 9-11 had the sense to leave their Islamic dress code at home to avoid any public suspicion which might have spoiled their plans of extreme dissent.

JJ,
Yeah, I got the biggest kick out of the video too. His EP is really solid as well, so make sure you download it if you haven’t already. Plus it contains the song from the video.
Thanks for the eyes and ears. Good looks, and more to come down the line.
If he fares well there, he gets a high paying job with exciting perks. ,
